Anno Illusionis
Anno Illusionis – time of illusion – was born on my journey around the world. I noticed that religion is a factor that defines people’s values and attitudes towards others and themselves. In the icons of the first part I studied the elements that make pictures holy – what can be changed and what must be preserved so that the holyness still remains.
On the stones of the third part I exposed faces of people I had encountered during my journey. The faces reflected the harshness of everyday life, but at the same time faith into something seemed to bring people lighness and continuity. In the part “Souls” the faces are placed inside different symbols to describe how people see the world always through their own religion.
