Africa Women
Africa Women is a seria of photographs of african women shot in Mozambique. Pictures combine classical and modern photography by joining portraits of women to images of african fabrics – kabulans. Works express the similarity of all women in spite of the culture. Pictures present the life of women in Mozambique from realistic point of view showing the life of different social classes. All the women were shot in their everyday surroundings either in home or in work.
This series of photographs is part of an international photography project that was carried out as a photographer exchange between Finland and Mozambique. The pictures can also be found in the book made from the project: Women from Finland and Mozambique.
