Every mother thinks of her child: how they breathe softly in their sleep, how they take their first steps, dance through childhood, stumble as they grow, and dance again towards a new morning. In adoption, there are two mothers: the one who lost her child and the one who received a child. Yet they are both mothers who think of their child.

The installation was presented at the launch of Lilly Korpiola’s book Pitkä tie äidiksi in 2014.
