Magi Viljanen is a Finnish visual artist, photographer, filmmaker and writer whose work grows from encounters with people, places and lived experience.

Working across documentary photography, installation, film and text, she often returns to the same people and places over many years. Her work moves between the personal and the documentary, exploring everyday life, cultural encounters, spirituality and change.
